This blog post is going to explain how to assemble the SVG K-Cup Storage Drawer Set / SVG Craft Supply Storage Drawers. Please be patient if the page takes a little longer than usual to load as there are a lot of pictures and a video included. (Video is at the end of the tutorial.)

SVG K- Cup Storage Drawers / Craft Supply Storage Drawers

I am so excited about this new SVG K-Cup Storage Drawer Set. I created it because I wanted K-Cup drawers that would fit inside my cabinet. All the ones I found at the store were big and had to be set on the counter. I hope you like this as much as I do.

Assemble SVG K-Cup Drawer Cover

Cut the templates 3 times (Template size before ungrouped = 8.875×23.625)
*If using Brothers Canvas Workspace set your Art Board to 12×24.
Optional step: If you are using a thick cardboard you may want to use a scoring tool to go over the dotted perforation lines. It is not necessary, but it may make folding the templates easier if your cardboard is a heavy weight.

Put glue and / or two sided tape on the half inch tabs. (I use both glue and tape. The tape helps hold it in place while the glue dries. The glue gives it more stability in the long run.)
If you are having trouble getting the templates to stay in place after joining the first side, allow it to dry before continuing to the second side.
It is very important that the seams line up, so when you stack the drawers for the decorative cover everything fits correctly.
Optional: After joining the second side, you can place a weight on the templates while they dry to help hold them in place and crease the folds better.

Place glue on the bottom small tabs. Fold over one of the bottom long tabs. Place glue on the other long tab, and fold it down.
Optional: Place a weight inside the box to hold everything in place while it dries.

Assemble SVG K-Cup Drawer Insert

Cut the templates 3 times. (Template size before ungrouped = 10.875×15.5)
Optional step: If you are using a thick cardboard you may want to use a scoring tool to go over the dotted perforation lines on this template also.
Glue / tape the tabs on the long sides of the template pieces.
To know which end piece goes where, line up the corners as shown in the picture. There are two different angles on the end templates, so they will line up with the long side when placed in the correct position.
Tip: Allow the glue to dry so the pieces do not move while joining the sides. Adding the extra weight just helps keep it in place and smooth.

Place glue / tape on the small tabs of the sides.
Join the tabs to the adjoining sides.
Tip: Place a clip on the tabs to hold them in place while joining the other ones.

Drawer Insert Support Panels

(Template size before ungrouped = 10.188×14.188)

Bottom Support Panel

Cut the template 3 times. (One for each drawer.)
Cut the Bottom Support Panel from cardboard if you would like to add extra stability.
You may also use this as a decorative cover if you used recycled cardboard and would like to cover the box.
Glue or tape the cardboard inside the bottom of the drawer.

Side Support Panels / Decorative Side Panels

Cut the templates 3 times. (One for each drawer.)
This step is optional. Using cardboard will give extra support for pulling the drawers in and out. Colored paper can be used as decorative panels to cover recycled cardboard.
Cut the templates 3 times. (One set per drawer.)
Glue the long sides in first.
Glue the short sides in last. (The short sides had more deducted from the templates to allow room for the long sides to fit first.)

SVG Drawer Dividers

The dividers are optional. They will help hold the K-Cups in place. The middle support helps hold the two rows in place.
Cut each set 3 times. (One set per drawer.)
Line up the slits to join the three pieces together.
Put glue / tape on the small tabs and glue to the sides of the drawer.
It’s a good idea to put a couple K-Cups in place to make sure your lines are evenly spaced.
Tip: use clips to hold everything in place while they dry.

Brad Supports

This step is only for if you are using brads or something else as a drawer pull.
Each set comes with 3 supports. You can use one or glue all three together depending on the thickness of your material.
Glue inside the drawer.
Do not put your brad through the hole until after you have attached the decorative panel. (Unless you are not going to use the decorative panels.)

Stack Single K-Cup Storage Drawers

Glue three sets of drawers on top of each other.
Tip: Putting even weight on the top while the glue dries will help keep the edges and corners together.

Decorative Panels for Storage Drawer Set

There are four decorative panel templates
1. Back
2. Drawer Fronts (Template size for Back and Fronts before ungrouped = 6.375×19.125)
3. Sides (Template size for Sides and Top before ungrouped = 10.875×20.125)
4. Top
You only need to cut one of each decorative panel, and only the one exposed end for the drawer fronts.

Glue or use two sided tape to place the top panel on first. It has little flaps that will hang down on the sides and back. Those flaps will allow room to cover the edges.
Glue on the front drawer covers.
If you are using drawer pulls you might want to glue them in place for extra support, so you don’t pull the brad out while opening the drawer.
Glue on the side panels.
Glue on the back panel.

You can use the dividers in multiple ways to come up with different storage options.
Rinse and re-use K-Cups to hold small items such as buttons, brads, and beads.
