How To Assemble SVG Drawer Sets

Assemble SVG Drawer Insert

I will demonstrate how to assemble the “main” SVG box template on this page.
***Please see our Basic Assembly Instructions page if your drawer insert is a different template style.

• Cut the template
• Fold along all the dotted lines. (The better the crease, the better the box will hold it’s shape while assembling.)
• Place glue or two sided tape on the small tabs. I like to use both two sided tape and glue for extra stability. The tape holds it in place while the glue dries.
• Press the tabs along the adjoining sides. Placing clothes pins or paper clips on the sides while they dry will help hold everything in place.

Assemble SVG Cover

***Please see our Basic Assembly Instructions page if your drawer cover is a different template style.

• Cut the template
• Fold along all the dotted lines.
• Place glue or two sided tape on the small side tabs.
• Press the tabs along the adjoining sides. Placing clothes pins or paper clips on the sides while they dry will help hold everything in place. (Just make sure to fold the bottom tabs out of the way, so they do not get stuck to the glue.)

• Place adhesive on the bottom small tabs and on the underside of the large tab along the sides.

• Press that large tab onto the smaller ones.
• Place glue along the edge of that same large tab.
• Place glue on the bottom of the other large tab all the way around the edges and across the center.
• Press the second large tab onto the first.
• Place a weight inside the box to help hold the bottom in place while it dries.

Final Touches

• Optional: Place a brad through the brad hole. You can skip this step if you are going to use the finger pull to open and close the drawer.

• Place the drawer insert inside the drawer cover exposing the side you prefer to use for opening.
