DIY - How to Create a SVG Treat Bag From Our SVG Box Templates

In this tutorial I’ll show you how to convert our SVG box templates into SVG treat bags. Creating a treat bag from a box template can be quick and easy.

Step One
Choose any size SVG Box Template. (One Piece or Two Piece Layouts will be the easiest.)
This demonstration is made from our 2x5x5 SVG Box Base.

Step Two
Download our Free SVG Treat Bag Handles.

Step Three
Cut the Free SVG Treat Bag Handles and the SVG box template with your favorite cutting machine. (Or by hand if you requested a PDF.)
Make sure to resize the Handles to your desired size for the SVG box you selected.

Step Four
Fold the template on the dotted lines.

Step Five
Crease / score what will be the sides of your box.
Create the score line in the middle of the side panel.
Since the box I used had two inch sides, I used a scoring tool to crease the sides at one inch.

Step Six
Create a crease / score line, at an angle at the bottom of the side panel, going to the center crease line you just created.
The height you choose to crease is your preference.
Place the ruler at the bottom corner of the Right Side Panel and at the center crease line you created, then score the paper at an angle.
On the other side of the crease line, still on the Right Side Panel, create another angled line using the same dimension.

Step Seven
Repeat step 5 on the Left Side Panel.

Step Eight
Assemble the 3D box using the regular Assembly Instructions.
(Some people prefer to decorate at this step. It might be easier while the SVG template is still flat.)

Step Nine
Glue on the FREE SVG Treat Bag Handles.
